Hosea mourning the abandonment of Gomer

‘Therefore the land mourns,
and all who dwell in it languish’ – Hosea 4:3

Hosea’s lot is not enviable and contains a deep mourning over the broken relationships that are a result of our broken fallen hearts.  We will inherit the sins of our fathers and we will selfishly crucify our loved ones even as they are trying to save us.  Despite this we have hope and are reminded of God’s promise of restoration in chapter 6.

‘Come, let us return to the Lord;
for he has torn us, that he may heal us;
he has struck us down, and he will bind us up.
After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will raise us up,
that we may live before him.
Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord;
his going out is sure as the dawn;
he will come to us as the showers,
as the spring rains that water the earth.’  - Hosea 6:1-3

IF - Shiny

A warning to those with Arthrophobia – the following post contains a drawing of a large scorpion like gentleman.

His Lord Pandinus Spinifer just got a shiny new coat for nights out drinking brandy at the club.

Panem Map

I just finished the Hunger Games, the novel by Suzanne Collins, which was enjoyable if not exactly high fiction (or even medium fiction such as The Road).  Still always fun to run around in a dystopian future.  However it lacked a good map.  And all the internet’s homemade maps were less than stellar.  So I made one myself:
